Suzie identified early in her career in Property Management that lack of communication seemed to be a common complaint from Owners and Tenants who often said they received spasmodic, unreliable communication from their previous Property Managers especially in regards to maintenance issues.

Suzie saw a gap in the market here for a small agency with consistent, open communication, a very high level of customer service and where Owners and Tenants could actually speak to their Property Manager when they called or alternatively they received an email or phone response within 24 hours.

Suzie also noted that the old school thinking seemed to be that Real Estate Agents work for the Landlord and not the Tenant. Whilst it is true that the Landlord employs the Agent to Manage the property one needs to remember that many Tenants have either been homeowners or will be in the future. Suzie quickly realised that building a good relationship with a high level of respect with both Owners and Tenants made for better all round communication and was paramount for a harmonious tenancy. Suzie is not afraid to have those “difficult conversations” with Owners or Tenants in the nicest possible way. This level of communication gives transparency on all sides.

She also realised that by maximising her application process and finding the best suitable tenants for her properties that meant a lot more smooth sailing for the tenancy.  Treating Tenants and Landlords with the same level of respect has paid off for Suzie. She has happy Tenants, happy Landlords and in turn a happy Agent!

It is a requirement that everyone over the age of 18 that is wishing to live at the property completes (in full) a tenancy application form and provides 100 points of identification as outlined in the application form when applying for a property with Suzie McDonald Real Estate.

Applications are processed within 2 business days. Please make sure you provide all the necessary ID and email addresses and phone numbers of your referees to speed up the process. Should your application be approved, your will be required to pay for first 2 weeks rent and full bond within 24 hours of approval to secure the property.
